Wind for the first couple days (Sunday and Monday) look OK right now. Models have been and continue to indicate we'll see tropical weather ramp up in the region next week, possibly with even a tropical cyclone developing, thus making local conditions highly volatile. With the swell all set for the event, it's the local conditions that are a big wildcard at this point. After that peak, the surf will slowly simmer back down over the rest of the event window. Then thanks to a recent storm in the Southeast Pacific, a stronger shot of southwest to south-southwest swell will move in midweek, topping out over Wednesday and Thursday the 15th-16th with overhead surf at Punta Roca. The first few days of the event window will start out with small, overlapping swells from the south to southwest and modest yet contestable surf.
